When someone around here mentions Avila Valley Barn, I can’t help but smile. It’s one of those places I find myself returning to again and again. I stop in for the freshest local fruits and vegetables, grab a warm pie or something sweet from the bakery, and sometimes linger to hand-feed and pet the farm animals. If I’m hungry, I’ll pick up lunch from the Smoke House or Chicken Shack, or treat myself to an ice cream on the way to Avila Beach. It’s the kind of place that feels easy, welcoming, and made for everyone in the family.
